INTRODUCTION:
A. This morning I would like to give another reason why I am a member of the church of Christ – I am a member of the Church of Christ because it teaches the kingdom has now been established and Christ is now reigning.
B. The future kingdom theory together with the literal reign of Christ upon the earth for a literal 1,000 years has invaded the denominational world, it is publicly being advocated by their preachers, and it has even invaded the decision making of our government.
1. I could never cast my lot with a religious group which is lending its support to such a wild theory.
2. This wild theory is called “Premillennialism”
INTRODUCTION:
A. “Contentment is a pearl of great price, and whosoever procures it at the expense of ten thousand desires makes a wise and happy purchase” (John Balguy).
1. Contentment is a very precious commodity to possess in this life of disappointments and heartaches.
2. All Christians should join with King David and say, “He maketh me to lie in green pastures” (Psa. 23:2) – That’s a great picture of contentment
B. Many today are like the two little teardrops floating down the river of life. One tear drop asked the other, “Who are you?” “I am a teardrop from a girl who loved a man and lost him. But who are you?” The first tear drop replied, “I am a tear drop from the girl who got him.”
1. Life is like as is seen in these teardrops.

INTRODUCTION:
1. “O Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness” (Psalm 96:9)
1) This ability is what we are endeavoring to produce in each one of us in this series of studies.
2) We want to develop in every one of us a deeper appreciation for worship – for true worship.
2. In our last lesson we set out to define and describe true worship. True worship:
1) Ascribes worth to God – “worship” = worthship.
2) Is to be done in reverence.
3) Arises from the heart overflowing with gratitude.
4) Is reinforced with godly living.
5) Involves the entire person.
3. True worship, as seen in the fragrance prepared for the worship of God in Old Testament times and noted in our last lesson (Exodus 30:34-38), is reserved for God alone – thus, true worship is to be unique.
