B. I am a member of the church of Christ because it teaches that a child of God can so sin as to lose his salvation.
C. The doctrine that a child of God cannot so sin as to lose salvation is one that is very prevalent in the denominational world today.
1. A host of people find false comfort in this doctrine of “once saved always saved.”
2. And, I believe that this doctrine leads to apathy, and in many instances – immorality.

A. Every day should be a day of thanksgiving on the Christian’s calendar.
1. The Bible teaches us by direct command to be grateful
a. “Giving thanks always for all things to God” (Eph 5:20)
b. Paul said, “abound with thanksgiving” (Col. 2:7)
c. It is God’s will that we be thankful – “in everything give thanks” (1 The. 5:18), and we must do the will of God to go to heaven (Mat. 7:21).
