DISCUSSION:

I.   God is able to make this work abound.

1. 2 Corinthians 9:8-10

2. There is a principle in this passage.

3. If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

4. When we give of ourselves liberally and cheerfully, then God will make this work abound.

II.  This work is for the Lord.

1. Colossians 3:23, 24 “whatsoever ye do, work heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that from the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance: ye serve the Lord Christ.”

2. We need to remember who our Master is.

3. This work isn’t for the elders; it isn’t for the deacons; it isn’t for the preacher.

4. There may be times when this work is not managed as best it can be.

5. But let us remember that this work is for the Lord.

III. This work will not be in vain.

1. 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Wherefore….”

2. We need to be steadfast in this work.

3. It is going to take time.

4. There are going to be disappointments.

5. There are going to be problems.

6. But let’s not let these things sway us from doing what we know is right.

CONCLUSION:

1. Matthew 24:45,46 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.”
