Categories: Sermon Outlines, Topical Sermon OutlinesSUBJECT: Peace
TITLE: “Peace Peace”
PROPOSITION: To set forth the peaceful thoughts in Jeremiah 6:13-15, as they apply to Christianity.
OBJECTIVE:That we understand peace and be peaceful.
INTRODUCTION:
1. Read: Jeremiah 6:13-15.
2. Regarding the text:
1) Israel was hurt.
2) She had a mortal wound.
3) Her problem was rejection of God.
4) The healers of Israel, body and soul, were the priests.
5) Matthew 8:4.
6) The primary concern of the priests was to heal the spiritual hurt or wound separating Israel from God.
7) Israel’s priests did NOT do their job, so Israel was taken into Babylonian captivity.
8) Israel’s priests attempted to heal Israel’s wound, but it was a slight healing, by preaching “Peace” when there was no peace.
9) How does this apply today?
3. Reference to Subject, Title, Proposition and Objective.

II. How did Jesus deal with peace?
1. Isaiah 9:6-7.
2. Isaiah 53:5.
3. Matthew 10:34.
4. Luke 2:14.
5. John 14:27.
III. Where is peace today?
1. Romans 2:10.
2. From God’s point of view, what does it mean “to work good.”
1) 2 John 9-11.
2) Romans 8:28.
3) 1 John 3:7.
4) It is doing that which God ordained, appointed, authorized in the New Testament.
3. Ephesians 2:11-18.
4. We are at peace in the Christian warfare 1
1) Ephesians 6:10-18.
2) 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.
3) Romans 5:1.
4) 1 John 1:6-7.
5. The only real peace is peace with God which brings peace to all those who are at peace with the Father.
6. Peace is located IN CHRIST JESUS!
CONCLUSION:
1. We have asked:
1) What is peace?
2) How did Jesus deal with peace? and
3) Where is peace today?
2. Let us be spiritually fruitful as Galatians 5:22-24 teaches us…peace.
