Only Twelve Minutes A Day
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin ArticlesThink you don’t have time to read the Bible? Have you ever thought about how much time it would take to read from Genesis to Revelation?
If we would read at a speed slow enough to be heard and understood, the reading time from Genesis to Revelation would be seventy-one hours (source – scroll down to IV-C.).
If we break that reading time down into minutes and divide it into 365 days, we could read the entire Bible, cover to cover, in only twelve minutes a day.
Brethren and friends, is this really too much time to spend reading about God and His beneficial will for us? (cf. Deuteronomy 6:24-25; Deuteronomy 10:12-13).
Let’s prayerfully think about it, and then start planning a daily regimen of twelve minute Bible reading (Ephesians 3:1-4; Acts 17:11), asking God to open our eyes to His truth (Psalm 119:18; John 17:17).
