“One Another” Christianity
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin ArticlesGod has made it abundantly clear that in His scheme of things, He wants Christians to be a part of each other’s lives. How thankful we should be that such is the case, for interacting with each other is one of life’s great joys. Take the time to read the following passages that emphasize the “one another” aspects of the Christian life.
We are to:
- Love one another (John 13:34-35; John 15:12,17; Romans 13:8; 1 Thessalonians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 Peter 3:8; 1 Peter 4:8).
- Greet one another (Romans 16:16; 1 Corinthians 16:20; 2 Corinthians 13:12; 1 Peter 5:14).
- Be kind to one another (Romans 12:10; 1 Corinthians 12:25; Gal. 5:13; Ephesians 4:32; 1 Peter 4:9).
- Encourage one another (Romans 15:14; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:24).
- Forgive one another (Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 3:13).
- Prefer one another (Romans 12:10).
- Be like-minded toward one another (Romans 12:16; Romans 15:5).
- Receive one another (Romans 15:7).
- Bear with one another (Ephesians 4:2; Colossians 3:13).
- Submit to one another (Ephesians 5:21; 1 Peter 5:5).
- Comfort one another (1 Thessalonians 4:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:11).
- Consider one another (Hebrews 10:24).
- Pray for one another (James 5:16).
- Exhort one another (Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:24).
- Have compassion for one another (1 Peter 3:8).
Question: Are you too busy to remember your brethren? If so, then you’re too busy.
There are always going to be those our family that we are closer to than others, but that never takes away our responsibility toward all the family! Are you living like a Christian or just pretending to be one?
Let’s live this week and always like we really care for one another!
