On Changing Churches And Socks
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin ArticlesThere are some brethren in the brotherhood who change churches almost as often as they change socks. They are what I call nitpickers — always finding fault with this and that. Nothing or no one is ever right. When some member offends them in some way, they immediately look for “greener pastures.” Only to find out, that when they arrive at those “greener pastures,” they are not green at all, but a dull gray.
So, what is the solution to changing churches?
Brother Jonathan Jones, preacher for the Maryville church of Christ in Maryville, Tennessee, suggests that we be part of the solution rather than being a part of the problems found in the church.
As he points out in this good article, “Often the biggest problem in the church is my attitude about it.”
Let’s think about it!
