Five Keys
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin ArticlesIn Durham Cathedral, there is an iron-clad, oaken chest with five locks. In olden days, each of five church officers held a key to one of the five locks, and they – the bursar, almoner, sacrist, hosteler, and verger – all had to be present and in agreement before the chest could be opened.
Five keys are needed to unlock many treasures today: love, patience, cooperation, worthy purpose, and willingness.
The key we hold is essential for a successful venture (source).
Let’s think about it!
