An Observation Regarding Today's Earthquake

According to news reports, today’s earthquake that was felt up and down the East Coast, was the most powerful earthquake in 67 years (magnitude 5.8). However, there is an earthquake coming that will be far more powerful than any earthquake ever experienced on earth, and that is the earthquake that God will put into play at the end of time (Hebrews 12:25-27 NIV; cf. Haggai 2:6; 2 Peter 3:10; Revelation 20:11).
Because this earthquake will signify the end of the material world that we see and usher in a new and permanent order of things (2 Peter 3:10-13), let us closely follow the instructions of the inspired apostle Peter:
“So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him …. be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:14,17-18 NIV).
