A Look At Restoration History
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin ArticlesThis writer has always been interested in history, whether World History, United States History, or Texas History, because it allows us to compare our present-day society with societies of the past — a measuring device that allows us to see whether or not we are progressing or digressing (Jeremiah 7:21-24; cf. Jeremiah 32:26-44.
Religiously speaking, the design of the Restoration Movement was to emphasize the importance of moving away from a denominational mindset of worship, to the New Testament pattern of worship (other pattern articles) that Jesus and His apostles promoted.
