II. We Groan, v. 2. We Long For That Day
1. In Christ we have a deep longing for our reward.
1) To have that home, John 14:1-3.
2) To be with Jesus, v. 6; 1 John 3:2.
3) To leave behind pain and sorrow of this world, Rev. 21:3-7.
2. TO LIVE AS A CHRISTIAN IS TO LIVE A LIFE OF GROANING.
III. We are Confident, vv. 6-8
1. Like Peter, Matt. 16:16; 2 Pet. 1:16-17.
2. Like Paul, 2 Tim. 1:12.
3. Like John, John 20:30-31; 1 John 1:3.
4. TO LIVE AS A CHRISTIAN IS TO LIVE A LIFE OF CONFIDENCE.
Conclusion:
1. As we remember _______ let us draw strength from her life in Christ.
2. Her faith reminds us to look to Jesus, heed the apostles, believe the Bible, hear the Gospel, believe its facts, trust in its promises, and heed its warnings.
