3. So why invest our time in it? THAT WE MIGHT NOT SIN AGAINST GOD.

I. God’s Word Informs Us
1. 1 John 3:4, Sin is transgression of the law.
2. Isa. 54:1-2
II. God’s Word Warns Us
1. Rom. 6:23, Wages of sin is death.
2. Rom. 8:13, live after the flesh, die.
III. God’s Word Devotes Us
1. By ex., Job 13:15, Though he slay me…
2. Num. 13:30, Let us go up at once.
3. 1 Cor. 6:9-11, and such WERE some of you.
IV. God’s Word Inspires Us.
1. 1 Thess. 4:16-18, the dead in Christ shall rise first.
2. 1 Cor. 15:51-58, we shall be changed.
V. God’s Word Transforms Us.
1. Rom. 12:1-2, be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind
2. Phil. 4:8, think on these things.
