The “Best” Position For Prayer
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin Articles Tags: Bible Lessons on Prayer, Bulletin Articles on PrayerThree people were once talking about the “best” position for prayer. One thought it was important to hold one’s hands together as he prayed. The second advocated that prayer was best when one was kneeling. The third insisted that standing was a suitable position.
As they talked, a telephone repairman listened as he worked on a nearby phone system. Finally, he couldn’t contain himself any longer and interjected:
“I have found that the most powerful prayer I ever made was while I was dangling upside down from a power pole, suspended 40 feet above the ground!“
Brethren and friends, “any” position is the “best” position for prayer! (1 Thessalonians 5:17; cf. Acts 12:5).
