Spring Gospel Meeting Coming Soon!

Our spring gospel meeting at the New Boston Church of Christ is one month away! It begins on February 23rd and continues through the 26th. The theme of this meeting is “Living By Faith.” Brother Jeff Whatley, one of the preachers at the North Jefferson church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant, will be speaking. We have fliers to hand out to friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. We can also post these flyers in public places in the community. Let’s talk up this meeting to others so that they will come and hear the message of the gospel!
“Living by Faith” is a scriptural topic. Habakkuk 2:4 says, “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.” The apostle Paul quotes this verse in Romans 1:17 and Galatians 3:11. Hebrews 10:38 also references it. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Living by faith means that we do not trust in self but God and His Son Jesus to live in a just way.
Jeff is a former student of mine, and I am excited to have him for this meeting. His lessons are: “A Faith that Comes to Jesus,” “Living By Faith – Part 1,” “Living by Faith – Part 2” “When Obedience is Hard,” “What Are You Afraid Of?”, and “Made Alive in 2025.” Jeff will bring some great messages. He is a very personable and dynamic fellow and has a great family. Over the next three weeks we will publish some bulletin articles by Jeff.
