Let’s Encourage All to Our Gospel Meeting

What can I do to evangelize? What can I do to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ? This week, you can invite your friends and neighbors to our gospel meeting. Brother Jeff Whatley will be preaching on the topic “Living by Faith.” Jeff is a wonderful person and gospel preacher. We will do well to invite our friends and family to come hear him. They will appreciate his personality.
We have two gospel meetings each year, one in the Spring and the other in the Fall. These are great opportunities for us to grow as Christians. These are also “special” events. We can reach out to our friends and neighbors with this in mind. Sometimes people will come to a “special” event simply because it is “special.”
We are also having our monthly potluck to coincide with our gospel meeting. Let’s be sure to bring a little extra food in anticipation of any visitors that may be attending, and let’s all make our plans to attend. Jeff and his family will be eating with us. It will be a great opportunity to get to visit with and get to know them.
Hebrews 3:13 says, “but exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” We want to be faithful followers of Jesus. We need daily encouragement to do that. You will not get the spiritual truths that you need to hear from any other source than the Lord’s church. This will be a valuable investment of your time and energy. Let’s commit to this event and be present at each hearing of the gospel.
