Isn’t It Great?

Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin Articles Tags:

Isn’t it great that as God’s children, we don’t have to wait for a particular time or be in a certain location to pray to God? We can pray anywhere and at any time of the day or night.

Note the following:

  • Early in the morning at a solitary place (Mark 1:35).
  • Evening, morning, and at noon (Psalm 55:17).
  • Night and day (1 Thessalonians 3:10).
  • At midnight (Acts 16:25).
  • On a mountain (Mark 6:46; Luke 6:12).
  • In the belly of a fish (Jonah 2:1-2).
  • In a place of worship (Luke 18:9-14; Acts 22:17).
  • In a house (Daniel 6:10-11; Acts 10:30).
  • In a garden (Matthew 26:36-39; Mark 14:32-36).
  • In a closet (Matthew 6:6 KJV).
  • In a bedroom (2 Kings 4:32-33).
  • In a group of people (Acts 20:36-38).
  • In a prison (Acts 16:25).
  • In the wilderness (Luke 5:16).
  • On a cross (Luke 23:34).
  • Outside a city (Acts 7:58-60).
  • Inside a city (Acts 8:14-15).
  • On the side of a river (Acts 16:13).
  • At a burial place (John 11:41-45).
  • On the seashore (Acts 21:5)

Brethren and friends, no matter what the location or time of day, let’s take advantage of every opportunity to pray to our Heavenly Father, for He is anxious to hear our prayers (Psalm 34:15; 1 Peter 3:12; cf. Jeremiah 33:3).
