PROPOSITION: To set forth the description of the Gospel as found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
OBJECTIVE: To help us understand this prime, basic point which is the Gospel of Christ,
INTRODUCTION:
1. Read: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

DISCUSSION: The Gospel –
I. Was made known to those who knew it. Why?
II. Was received. So what?
1. Acts 2:41.
2. John 1:12.
III. Is the power to stand.
1. Ephesians 6:11,13,14.
2. This is defending the fort, not just standing idle somewhere, Jude 3.
IV. Is that which saves.
1. 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9.
2. Romans 1:16-17.
V. Is the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
1. Resurrected ON the third day.
2. Luke 11:29-32. The sign of Jonah.
VI. Is a clear promise of Christ’s return for judgement.
1. Hebrews 2:l-3a.
2. Hebrews 9:27-28.
CONCLUSION:
1. The Gospel of Christ is God’s power to save.
2. We are saved only as we obey that Gospel.
1) There is initial obedience.
2) There is continual obedience. Ezekiel 18:24. Hebrews 6:4-6. 1 Peter 1:22-25.
