Getting To Know God

There are at least three components in getting to know someone:

  • What we say about ourselves.
  • What others say about us.
  • What we’ve done in our life.

Now, let’s make an application of the above components relative to Scripture in our getting to know God.

  • What does God say about Himself? (cf. Exodus 34:6-7-NKJV; Leviticus 19:1-2-NKJV; Isaiah 32:39-NKJV; Isaiah 45:5-6-NKJV; Jeremiah 32:27-NKJV).
  • What do others say about God? (cf. Psalm 19:1-6-NKJV; Romans 1:16-20-NKJV; 1 John 4:8-10-NKJV).
  • What has God done? (Genesis 1:1-NKJV; Exodus 14:10-31-NKJV; John 3:16-NKJV; Ephesians 1:3-12-NKJV).

Just think, through a diligent study of the Bible, the God who created us and the universe, is the God we can know! (2 Timothy 2:15-ASV; Genesis 1-NKJV; Acts 17:24-28-NKJV; 1 John 2:1-6-NKJV).
