Changing A Nation’s Moral Compass
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin Articles Tags: Bible Lessons on Morality, Bible Lessons on RepentanceIn 2 Chronicles 7:1-14-NKJV, King Solomon was given the criteria as to what would change the moral compass of Israel. It was to begin with humility, confession, and repentance.
The Lord told Solomon:
“If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
As children of God, we should take daily inventory of our personal lives. If we humbly seek God in prayer, repenting of our sins, changes for the better will begin in our lives. God can then use us in changing a nation’s moral compass (cf. Jonah 1-3).
