A Solution To Immorality | Is There Any Thing We Can Do?

solution to immorality
Is there a solution to immorality? Regarding any nation’s deteriorating morality, the Psalmist asks this question:

If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3).

While America possesses the greatest technology and medical care in the world, our values, morality, and lack of moral fiber indicate that this is not “the best of times” but “the worst of times.”

The solution to immorality lies in faithful Christians (i.e., “the righteous”) — there must be enough righteous folks that are willing to involve themselves in turning an immoral nation back to God (Romans 11:1-6; cf. 1 Kings 19:18). Also, note the example of Nineveh (Jonah 3:1-10).

From history, we see that nations that once were great world powers, are now known only to the readers of history books (here’s an excellent observation). Let us pray that this end will not be the destiny of America.

Brethren and friends, it does not have to be so. God still reigns over the affairs of men and nations (Psalm 11:4; cf. Psalm 2; Psalm 9:16-17; Psalm 83:18; Daniel 4:17; Daniel 4:25).

The Solution to Immorality

But what can we do? One thing we can do is make sure that our family attends weekly Bible classes. Fathers need to cease abdicating their responsibility to teach their children (at an early age – 2 Timothy 3:15; cf. Ecclesiastes 12:1) God‘s word, and begin emphasizing the importance of daily Bible study in their homes (cf. Deuteronomy 6:1-8; Psalm 78:1-8; cf. Acts 17:11; Acts 5:42). Strong godly families, made up of mothers, fathers, and children who know and follow God’s Word is the solution to immorality (2 Timothy 2:1-2; 2 Timothy 2:15; cf. Psalm 119:11), the results being found in the first part of Proverbs 14:34). And Bible classes, both in the church and at home, can make us part of the solution.
