We Reap What We Sow
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin ArticlesThe story is told of a farmer who once posted a “No Trespassing” sign to keep some neighborhood boys from crossing his property. One embittered young man vowed revenge. So one night, he walked all over the man’s farm with a sack of johnsongrass seed and sowed it in every field.
Anyone who has dealt with johnsongrass, knows that it is a weed that spreads rapidly and almost impossible to eradicate (see article under heading Propagation).
A few years later, the boy fell in love and married the farmer’s only daughter. Shortly thereafter, the old man died, and the boy inherited the farm.
He spent the rest of his life fighting johnsongrass.
Folks, we indeed reap what we sow both physically and spiritually, both now and in eternity (Gal. 6:7-8).
Let’s think about it!
