As Christians, what is the very best school for our children and grandchildren?
The very best school is….
- Where all the teachers believe in God (1 John 4:6; cf. John 14:15-26).
- Where there are no gangs or knives or guns (kingdom characterized by “peace” – Isaiah 9:7; Haggai 2:9; Romans 14:17).
- Where love for others is taught (Matthew 22:39; cf. Romans 13:9; Gal. 5:14; James 2:8; John 13:34; 1 John 4:20-21).
- Where honesty and truthfulness are encouraged (Romans 12:17 KJV; 2 Corinthians 13:7 KJV; Ephesians 4:25).
- Where sin is condemned, not condoned (Romans 6:1-2; cf. 1 Corinthians 5).
- Where family values are stressed (Ephesians 6:1-4; Titus 2:1-8).
- Where children are taught to honor parents and love their siblings (Ephesians 6:2; cf. Exodus 20:12; Genesis 50:14-21).
- Where the Bible is held up as the Word of God and attention is given to obeying it (1 Thessalonians 2:11-13; Romans 6:17; 1 Peter 1:18-22).
- Where marriage is taught as being sacred and sex as being reserved for marriage (Matthew 19:1-6; Genesis 4:1; Genesis 4:17; Genesis 4:25; 1 Samuel 1:19-20).
- Where moral purity is treasured, not scorned (1 Timothy 4:12; 1 Timothy 5:22).
- Where godliness is taught to be profitable for all things (1 Timothy 4:8).
- Where young people are encouraged to set a Christian example in their words and actions (1 Timothy 4:12; Titus 2:7-8).
This school is Sunday Bible school! It’s the wisest thing you can do for your child!
