Seven Indispensable Things

The following are seven indispensable things that we as children of God must have in order to gain entry into heaven:

• Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22).

• Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

• Without works, faith is dead (Ephesians 2:10; James 2:26).

• Without sanctification [holiness-ESV], no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14 NASB – see commentary).

• Without love, we are nothing (1 Corinthians 13:2).

• Without discipline, we are not a son or daughter of God (Hebrews 12:8).

• Without Jesus, we can do nothing (John 14:5).
