B. I am a member of the church of Christ because it teaches that a child of God can so sin as to lose his salvation.
C. The doctrine that a child of God cannot so sin as to lose salvation is one that is very prevalent in the denominational world today.
1. A host of people find false comfort in this doctrine of “once saved always saved.”
2. And, I believe that this doctrine leads to apathy, and in many instances – immorality.
C. But what does the Bible says about such a doctrine?
SUBJECT: Fundamentals Bible Class
TITLE: The Bible–Its Authority
PROPOSITION: In this lesson, we will BRIEFLY look at four aspects of Bible authority: 1) That the Bible is authoritative, 2) That the Bible constitutes a pattern for faithfulness to God, 3) That to receive the blessings of God we must abide within His authority, 4) That we can know we are living within God’s authority by understanding how God authorizes.

TITLE: We’re Looking For A Few Good Men
PROPOSITION: To teach the biblical expectations for men who lead in worship.
OBJECTIVE: That the hearer might ask himself if he meets those standards and if not to reform his life.
INTRODUCTION:
1. This sermon is done by request from the men who meet in our business meeting.
2. The concern is that there are some that we should not be scheduling to lead in worship because it may be that:
1) they don’t seem to take their obligations to attend worship seriously.
PROPOSITION: To teach the folly of walking in the lies our fathers believed.
OBJECTIVE: To motivate the hearer to reject the lies our fathers believed and to walk in truth.

1. One of Satan’s many devices is to cause his lies to become traditions of men.
2. At the time Amos wrote Judah had been in their errors for generations.
3. There was a barrier to Judah’s repentance, namely, tradition.

TITLE: “I am the Good Shepherd”
PROPOSITION: The Good Shepherd cares for the sheep by 1) Warning them concerning dangers to the flock, 2) Guarding the entrance and exit to the fold, and 3) Laying down His life for the sheep.
OBJECTIVES: Each listener should be able to state how the Good Shepherd warns concerning dangers to the flock, guards the entrance and exit to the fold, and lays down His life for the sheep.
AIM: To emphasize our constant need to be vigilant against the enemy by following the Good Shepherd.

2. Ancient orators taught that, to be heard, the speaker had to apply PATHOS, LOGOS and ETHOS. People watch to see if what you do matches with what you say.
3. Timothy was being watched. So Paul could teach others how to live through Timothy.
