Sanctification Versus Justification

Yes, there is a difference between the two terms. The basic meaning of the word “sanctify” means to “set apart” or to dedicate one’s life in service to God.
The word “justify” means to be pronounced or declared as being “righteous.” Both are accomplished through obedience to the gospel of Christ (Romans 4:1-25; Romans 5:1-21; Romans 6:1-23; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Hebrews 10:22).
