Proverbially Speaking

- Your future is bright if you are walking in the light (1 John 1:7).
- Life by the yard is hard, but by the foot and the inch, it becomes a cinch (so, live one day at a time, Matthew 6:34).
- There is no one so blind as the person who will not see (John 9:39-41).
- Interesting people are people who are interested (interested in things, people, happenings, etc.).
- For a life that has been well-lived, dying is like saying “amen” at the end of a beautiful prayer (Revelation 14:13).
- A generous and liberal person finds that he is treated accordingly (Ecclesiastes 11:1-2; cf. Proverbs 19:17; Matthew 10:42).
- A heart warmed by the gospel of Christ will never be cold and indifferent toward others (1 Thessalonians 1).
- Be kind for kindness begets kindness (each kind after its kind).
- By having second thoughts, many times we can be saved from the folly of the first ones (Matthew 21:28-32).
- Carrying a grudge is a heavy load.
