Our Lord's Intimate Care And Concern For Us
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin Articles, uncategorizedOur Lord considers every one of us as being extremely important to Him, for in Matthew 10:30, He states, “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”
In other words, not only does the Lord know the total of “how many” hairs we have, but he knows them to the extent that He has assigned each one of them a number.
Brethren and friends, if He has gone to that extent of intimacy to know us, just think how much more He knows about the intimate details of the thoughts, feelings and desires of our heart (cf. Matthew 9:1-4; Psalm 139:1-2; John 2:23-25).
If a small sparrow doesn’t fall to the earth without His knowledge (Matthew 10:29), how much more valuable are we to Him than a mere sparrow; so valuable that He intimately knows every pain that we suffer, every tear that falls from our eyes, every trial that we undergo, and every burden that we carry.
Because of the intimate level of care and concern that our Lord has for each one of us, should that not motivate us to demonstrate that level of care and concern for the souls of those who are lost in sin?
Let’s think about it!; and then take any necessary action to teach the saving gospel of Christ to those individuals we interact with every day (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16).
