In just one week, brother Phil Sanders will be here for our fall gospel meeting. He will be speaking on the topic, Take Up Your Cross! This is a great topic. We all need to think about taking up our cross. What is your cross? The cross is not something pleasant. The cross is something difficult. Our society does not like to think about things that are not pleasant and difficult, but the truth is that life can be unpleasant and difficult at times. How are we going to confront those situations? Will we bravely take up our cross? Will we run away from the cross? We all have friends and neighbors who must confront unpleasant and difficult situations. Have we invited them to hear the message? Can we make an effort to get the word out about our gospel meeting this week?
Each one of us needs to be here to support this special effort. Brother Phil Sanders is a great speaker. He will deliver some fantastic messages. It is up to us to come and hear these messages presented so that we might learn, grow, and follow Jesus Christ in our lives. These messages will encourage us to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. These messages will inspire us to share the gospel with others in our community. These messages will help us to develop our spiritual life better. We can all benefit from these messages in some way. It will not be difficult to come and hear these lessons. We just need to set aside the time to do it. Let’s each one of us resolve to come and hear brother Phil Sanders discuss this subject “Take Up Your Cross”!
