Our Fall Gospel Meeting Begins Today!

We want to thank brother Phil Sanders for coming to hold this gospel meeting with us. He is a capable speaker and will deliver some outstanding lessons for us on the theme “Take Up Your Cross.” We will also be recording these lessons for any who would like to have them. They will be available on our website (https://newbostoncoc.org) and on CD. Brother Sanders will also speak to our ladies Bible class at 10 AM on Wednesday. Everyone is invited to attend this lesson both ladies and men. After the class, the ladies will have a light luncheon prepared for everyone who attends to enjoy. If you would like to host brother Sanders for a meal, please let the office know so that we can schedule it.
We always have some visitors during our gospel meeting. Are we welcoming them? Are we answering their questions? Let’s all make a great effort to greet our visitors and let them know that we appreciate them being here. How can we do that? First, introduce yourself to them and ask for their name. Second, ask why they are visiting. Some of our visitors come from other congregations. Some come from our local community. If we have visitors from our local community, please help us get contact information for them so that the office can follow up. We send letters of thanks to each visitor who fills out a visitor’s card.
Finally, please make a great effort to personally attend and support every lesson of our gospel meeting. Attendance helps the speaker, our singing, and our attitudes for serving the Lord. Brother Phil has invested some time in preparing these lessons for us. We need these lessons to help us grow and be faithful in the Lord.
