No Longer Imprisoned By Sin
Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin ArticlesSad to say, there are more than 10 million people imprisoned worldwide. However, the Bible gives a more staggering statistic:
“The Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin” (Gal. 3:22-NIV).
However, the good news is “that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe” (Gal. 3:22-NKJV).
When we are obedient to the gospel of Christ, we are no longer imprisoned by sin (Romans 6:16-18-NKJV; cf. John 8:33-36-NKJV; Romans 8:1-2-NKJV; Gal. 5:1-NKJV). Instead, we enter into fellowship with Christians around the world (1 John 1:3,7-NKJV).
