Effective Communication And A Merry Heart

The following humorous, but meaningful story comes from today’s Montana Street bulletin, illustrating our need for effective communication as we interact with others (especially our spouses!):

While attending a marriage seminar dealing with effective communication, Tom and his wife, Grace, attentively listened to their instructor say:

“It is essential that husbands and wives know each other’s likes and dislikes.”

He then addressed the men in attendance:

“Can you name your wife’s favorite flower?”

Tom leaned over to Grace, touched her arm gently and whispered:

“It’s Pillsbury, isn’t it?”

Brethren and friends, “A merry heart does good, like medicine” (Proverbs 17:22-NKJV). (:
