“But The Lamp Of The Wicked Goes Out”

On brother Jeremy Sprouse’s blog this morning, I thought he did an outstanding job in his analysis of Proverbs 13:9 NASB, comparing the temporary pleasures of the wicked versus the lasting joy of the righteous:
A Proverb for the Day
Especially note the latter portion of the above proverb:
“But the lamp of the wicked goes out“
The fire in the lamp of the wicked doesn’t last very long (Isaiah 50:10-11; cf. Gal. 6:7-8).
Some good food for thought from the above proverb on this second day of the New Year!
