An Observation Regarding Our Conscience

If ever we turn our conscience off by continually sinning and listening to sinful ideas, then it becomes more increasingly more difficult to “hear” God’s word (Romans 10:17). As a result, our walk with God is soon decimated.
The Proverb writer tells us:
“One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination” (Proverbs 28:9).
There is a strong connection between our ears and our heart, so what we “hear” can actually determine our course in life, either for good or for evil (Jeremiah 16:12).
Thus, the best path for us to follow in order to maintain a good conscience before God, is to “hear” God’s word and “do it” (James 1:19-25).
P.S. A little memorization of God’s word wouldn’t hurt either (Psalm 119:11).
