About
About the Site
The Preacher’s Files went online in September of 2001 with a collection of links and a few sermon outlines and high hopes to be of great use to the Kingdom of God. It has been growing since that time into a major resource for Bible teaching on the internet. In 2010 645,387 unique visitors visited 1,133,239 times and read 6,601,537 pages. I’m thankful to God for the opportunity to send His Gospel to the nations of the world.
Its Character
This site has no ambitions to change the work and worship of the churches of Christ except where we have fallen away from the New Testament pattern. I believe that the church that Jesus built is the manifold wisdom of God (Ephesians 3:10) and not just another denomination. If it were I would go find the true church.
I must also say that this site is not interested in the controversy of the day. While we will not hesitate in speaking the truth or in calling names if there is a wolf among the sheep, our greater interest is in the slow and steady process of teaching.
There are hundreds of sermon outlines to study. They are printable and useful for study in private settings or for use in the pulpit. I am happy to hear when a man has taken it upon himself to work a full-time job to support his family and take up the work of preaching that he may use these outlines when he just hasn’t had the time to make his own outline. I’ve had many tell me that they use this site in the making of their own lessons and outlines.
Its Support
The sole support of this site is its readers. The needs are for hosting funds (about $250 a month) and for family support (about $2000 a month). See the donate page for more information.

About the Site
Built for speed
The technical side of this site focuses on finding information quickly. Having to wait for page downloads is a frustration we’d all like to leave behind. That’s why graphics are few. I’ve tried to make the lesson or outline the dominant feature of each page, not menus and graphics. Some of you may think the site looks too simple. Live with it awhile and see if the speed is worth it.
Ready For Your Iphone or Blackberry
I’ve made adjustments to make sure you can read the site from your handheld device. If you have problems doing so please contact me.
