A Story Of Four Persons

Categories: Church of Christ Bulletin Articles, uncategorized

The following story by an unknown author, is a parody about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody:

There was an important job to be done in the church and Everybody was asked to do it (Matthew 28:19-20-NKJV; Mark 16:15-16-NKJV).

Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

The Moral Of The Story:

Everybody should be involved in doing the Lord’s work (Ephesians 4:11-16-NKJV; cf. Matthew 28:19-20-NKJV; Mark 16:15-16-NKJV), then Nobody could blame Somebody or Anybody for not getting the job done.
